5th blog

In the book Monster the main character is Steve.  Steve is getting sent in jail and he has to make days in jail.  This was all taking place in New York.  This book came out 1999.  Steve is in jail because he broke the rules.  How did he break the rules ? by tagging.  In jail Steve means some friends and explores.

The genre of the book Monster is Mystery.  I know its mystery because he is checking stuff out.  Steve is trying to solve a mystery.  Mystery means like its something you are trying to find out what is happening and all that.  The thing I like about this book is that he is exploring jail.  Something that I don't like in this book is that he barely meats new people.  Steve doesn't talk to no one in jail he is scared to get killed or get caught by the guards that he explores the jail.

2nd Blog

In the book The Boy Who Dared the main character is Helmuth.  This story is about Helmuth trying to save as many Jews as he could.  This was the Holocaust  started January 30th, 1933 and ended May 8th, 1945.  This was taking place in Germany.  Why did Helmuth help the Jews? He helped the Jews because he thinks its not correct what was happening. He is helping the Jews by hiding them , and by helping them escape.

The book The boy Who dared is Non fiction.  Non fiction means it happened before that it is real.  What I like about this book is that Helmuth helps the Jews.  That he is not scared to help like other people.  The thing I don't like is that it tells us specific information.  Something else that I liked was when he lied to the Nazis and the Nazis believed him when he wasn't a good lier.

3rd Blog of the book The Boy Who Dared

In the book The Boy Who Dared the main character is Helmuth.  This story is about Helmuth trying to save as many Jews as he could.  This was the Holocaust  started January 30th, 1933 and ended May 8th, 1945.  This was taking place in Germany.  Why did Helmuth help the Jews? He helped the Jews because he thinks its not correct what was happening.  Helmuth is a up stander and we learned about up standers in class.  I know Helmuth is a up stander because Helmuth hides the Jews from the Nazis he helps the Jews get to a better place.

Some Interesting stuff about the book where when he fought against the Nazis.  Also when he was against the Nazis.  The best part was when he was putting flyers up and he was about to get killed.  Something that bored me from the plot was when he got killed.  Something that surprised me was that he lied to the Nazis.  He got killed at the age of 17 he was killed by a Nazi because he was protesting against the Nazis.

Summary Of The Boy Who Dared and signpost

In the book The Boy Who Dared, so far it is about youth who is in the Hitler Youth program or group. The whole few chapters talk about the youth and the Nazi Germans. Helmut Huber listens to illegal radio broadcasts to see what is happening in the world of jews. He is a 16 year old boy who is German.
In the book it talks about, him trying to expose what the germans or nazis are doing, and how its wrong. He wants to help the Jews in an way possible.

In the book I found one signpost (tough Questions), specifically in the book he is thinking wether he should help the Jews or not also if he should expose the Nazi Germans for what they have been doing to Jews and that its bad. Its a tough question because if he does any of these he can get arrested and killed.

My Holocaust Blog

I believe many people many people stood by and watched the Holocaust take place because many people were scared.  They were scared that if they helped the Jews the Nazis would kill them too.  They were scared to get sent to concentration camps like the Jews.  Some got inspired by other people helping the Jews making fake passports, Hiding Jews in their homes.  If i was there I think I would of been a bystander because I would of been real scared to get my family or myself in trouble for protecting a Jew I wouldn't want my family to get killed for that.  I would of been a bystander.

Bangladesh Factory owners surrender

The argument in this article was that 112 factory workers died because the factory in Bangladesh caught on fire.  The evidence they backed up was that they lacked emergency exits and other safety measures.  I think that this issue is because the factory owners where cruel with the factory workers.  Something that i learned that was surprising is that 112 factory workers died because of a fire in the factory of Bangladesh.  A interesting thing that i found was that the owners of the factory got arrested and then set free.

The argument in the poem is that he works to much.  The evidence for that is "My self is destroyed, I become a machine.  I work and work endlessly, I create and create".  Reading this poem is different from reading the article why? because in the poem you feel like if its you working all that time it feels so real.  In the article it just feels like if someone is telling you what happened.  What a poem has that a article don't is that in a article you don't have a person talking to you and in a poem you do.  The investigation found that when the fire broke out managers and security guards told the workers that it was part of a normal drill.

Last Shot Blog

The book Last Shot by John Feinstein is a good book for people that like basketball.  This book is one of the best basketball books there is well in my opinion.  This book is like many other kids that like basketball.  Basketball is like a dream come true to him.  In this book his dream comes to a ugly twist when the MSU's coach tells their star point guard they better lose the final game or else blackmail.

When they are in the game Steven Thomas shots a last second tree-pointer and makes it.  That was how they made it to the final.  You would come addicted to this book.

Blog 1

In the book Invisible lines The main character has two brothers they all move to a different house in a ghetto place and on their way their they see a lot of cops surrounding a garbage can they find a new born baby they go into their new house they see it all messed up and he starts drawing on the walls when his little brother sees him he starts doing the same.  The mom is very depressed and the son tries to help her. When he goes to his new school he sees a lot of reporters talking to a girl and also cops are there.

The Theme in the book is that it doesn't matter if your adopted you will always be family.  Some conflicts are that His mom adopts a baby that was found in the garbage can.  A other conflict was that His brothers didn't like the adopted kid.  Only he did and his mom.  But then they started to realize it was his brother.
