In the book The Boy Who Dared the main character is Helmuth. This story is about Helmuth trying to save as many Jews as he could. This was the Holocaust started January 30th, 1933 and ended May 8th, 1945. This was taking place in Germany. Why did Helmuth help the Jews? He helped the Jews because he thinks its not correct what was happening. Helmuth is a up stander and we learned about up standers in class. I know Helmuth is a up stander because Helmuth hides the Jews from the Nazis he helps the Jews get to a better place.
Some Interesting stuff about the book where when he fought against the Nazis. Also when he was against the Nazis. The best part was when he was putting flyers up and he was about to get killed. Something that bored me from the plot was when he got killed. Something that surprised me was that he lied to the Nazis. He got killed at the age of 17 he was killed by a Nazi because he was protesting against the Nazis.
